coolant replacement

drained out the existing coolant out of the radiator via the petcock. then refilled it with water to continue to flush out the remaining system. started the motor with heat on and cardboard covering the fins on radiator. truck was running for over thirty minutes and coolant still has yet to circulate. coolant temp. moved over to just under 190 but still no circulation.

i guess i have to either just drive it to get it hotter or "T" into the heater core hose to get the rest of it out.

where is the thermostat exactly. underneath the elbow off the block which feeds the upper radiator hose?

suggestions...

thanks

Just drive it around the block to get it warm. Thermostat is under the hose neck.
