Never even considered it.....I bought a dually for the extra tires and load carrying
I think it would be cheaper to just buy a single rear wheel 1 ton if thats what I wanted
Most dually 1 ton owners bought it for a reason......as I'm sure the single rear wheel 1 ton owners have their reasons too

although I was looking for one where the guy actually took off the big fenders, did the sheet metal work and it looked great... .About 3 or 4 months ago on either here or DTR... had lots of pictures..

one reason is , i`m not using it the way i used to, so i thought since my truck is just broke in i would convert it.... it will be a lot cheaper than buying a new one.also no more buying 6 tires...when i get it done i`ll try to post some pics (i don`t have much luck posting pictures)

Hey if ya do it i might be interested in the axle if you ahve to swap,( not sure whats all there) Im thinkin about doing a dually coversion on my 99 quad cab short bed, I think itd be diffrent and fun
