Just put some sand in the tire. I use blasting sand but you can get tire sand at any semi truck tire dealer. It works great.

What diameter centramatics are you getting? If the wheels have big enough gaps in them, you'll definitely see the centramatics. Just paint them black.

They will definetely be noticeable, if I remember right the XD's are pretty open rims. Like dguru said, you would probably be better off with sand. We carry stuff called Equal, I'm running it in my tires and getting good life outta em. If ya do go that route make sure they install filtered valve cores. The sand will get sucked up into a regular core when you check pressure and cause them to leak.

You can use sand to balance tires? Do you still have to balance them on a machine and will it balance out with sand in it?

No, the sand balances itself. Just put it in, mount em up and drive. Some laws of physics cause the sand to settle against the tire in the light side to compensate for the shaking of the heavy spot or somethin....I'm no engineer, but it works. And the nice thing is, the tires will always be balanced no matter what ya do to em, the sand will just redistribute itself everytime you drive.

The sand does'nt cause problems with the wheel or take off patches if you have any? Do you need to have the tires balanced at all? Do you have to do this yourself or will a tire shop do it for you?

If you use prepackaged ones like Equal, you don't need to balance at all. The only time I could possibly see spin balancing needed would be if ya just randomly dump some sand in, to make sure you have enough/not enough sand to balance out.

I'm not sure if a tire shop would do it or not. Maybe if ya go into a little local shop they might dismount for ya and let ya dump some in and spin balance. I would imagine most places would try and sell ya somethin prepackaged (which isnt all that expensive). Just make sure they put in filtered cores.

I've been using Dyna Beads in all my vehicles including the semi for many years.
Excellent product, cheaper than one balancing.
I get a lot more miles out my tires having them always balanced with the beads. The old lead weight method is a thing of the past.
Not sure why people pay the big bucks for Centramatics when beads inside the tires work just the same.
Problem using sand is it grinds against itself until it turns to powder, cakes up and stays in one place. The Dyna beads are ceramic, very abrasion proof.
I had a flat on my semi fixed that had Dyna beads in it for over 50k miles.
Beads looked the same as when they went in.
I'm sold and will never use anything else.
