CD player gives err. message

My
CD player constantly gives me an error message and wont play CDs. If I continually re insert the CD it will sometimes play, but not always. It does this with all CDs. I have used a CD laser cleaner with no change. Any Ideas?

OMIGOD X 2 I thought I was the only one. Way better than shelling out couple bones for a new unit when the old one works fine

Time to get a new aftermarket.

I have a simple Sony CD/MP3/Bluetooth deck, I couldn't be any happier.

I load cell phone memory (2gb) with mp3s and play them through deck via Bluetooth (no wires, etc)

Forget the OEM deck.....

I got a Kenwood unit from Best Buy for 70 bucks and an install kit from wal mart for 10 bucks. Pretty good deal I thought!

Mine gave me the ERR msg most of the time too. I took it out and blew it out with the airhose. Well, that did it. Don't work at all anymore. I'm going to take it out again and "fix" it with a hammer.

I got the same issue on my 99 CD player, but I think the pennies my 2 year put in there doesn't help matters.

Bringing up an old thread, but I hope someone has a solution by now. I was given a CD player/radio, but it gives an "Err" every time I put a disc in (and it just spits it back out).

Anybody know how to fix a CD with an "Err". Seems to be a common problem.

A long time ago there was a thread on here by a radio tech, He had pics of the insides and what was needed to align the head. Seemed simple but I don't have a CD in my truck so I didn't bother keeping a link to the thread.
