Dashboard from Geno's

Has anyone installed the dashboard that is now available from Geno's? Was wondering how installation went and how it fits and looks. I need to replace mine.

Thanks.

I haven't replaced mine, although it needs it. I hear the install isn't too fun. Go figure

I have heard that some of the aftermarket dashboards from other companies had fitting problems, i.e., mounting & vent holes not aligning up,etc. I haven't heard anything about the dashboard from Genos though.

Works good. Looks good. Lasts longtime. Just buy some extra silicone before installing as they give you a meager amount in the box....

This is what I'm going to use when mine cracks all the way through.

Cracks are almost half way through

I'm pretty sure that's the same one Geno's sells.

Put the Geno's overlay on mine and didn't like it...it just didn't fit right. I finally bit the bullet and bought a new dash from wholesalemopar.com and now I'm happy.

I thought about a dash cover, but sooner or later I will have to pull the dash for something to fix and rather not deal with a patched up dash. On my to-do-list.

I am in the process of replacing the dash at this exact moment. I have the 95 in my sig, this is what I know. First get you lots of room, to lay stuff out. Disconnect the batteries, pull the panel off under the steering wheel. The metal brace that you see comes out with the dash, so you have to disconnect all the wires, from all the sensors, under the dash. Unplug the four plugs around the main loom cumming from under the hood, mine was white, there is a 10mm bolt in the center, that has to be removed. The wiring harnes is unplugged on the pass side with two large plugs, behind the kick panel. Now drop thebottom off the steering collom, and unplug the harness there, while down there you will notice the metal frame has a cutout piece, directly under the collum, remove that piece so you can lift the dash out. Now take out the 8mm bolts on top of the dash closest to thw windshield. There's two more bolt's on on each side, behind the kick panels. you will find there are numerous wires that are grounded to the metal frame the lower dash is riveted to. make sure you have someone to help you lift it out,so you don't crack the lower dash. Good luck.

I also meant to say, if you got a buddy that runs a body shop, he can get you a factory dash for around 175.00. That's what i did, because they buy way more parts than we do from the *******. While you got the dash out is a good time to replace th heater core too. It will be staring you in the face. I also replaced the scratched up clear lens cover.

Its not a cover. Its a new dash made out of better materials then the stock one and it comes with a lifetime warranty.

I understand that it fits perfectly. I also read somewhere that some of the factory replacements have cracked and I do not want to do this a second time.
