ccd

my overhead consoul says ccd on it all the time now it use to work about half and half now it hardley ever registures any info and it get bright and dim all the time back and forth it seems like a short any ideas what this could be

Hi, and welcome to the site. Post your truck information in your signature. That is in the user cp on the top of the page. That way we know what truck you have.
Sounds like you might have bad or dirty connectors, or moisture in the overhead. Good luck

There is a dead moth in mine. You can see his head and antannea from the drivers seat blocking the right numbers. Do they come apart?

Mine did the same; turns out there is a loose wire in the wiring harness under the dash. When mine says CCD, i just use my left foot to hit the wiring harness leading to the panel it works again!

HA! HA! i just love those type of fixes. i had a '93 k2500 6.5 TD that the TC would not always lock in OD intill i kicked the harness under the dash with my left foot. worked every time

i just found out that what was causing my over head console to read out ccd was the ctm (central timing module)
