A/C stops blow cold when at idle?
I dont even use the A/C here in Dallas, I just would like to know that the 15,000 dollar truck I just bought at least has a working A/C.
I love my CTD.
Any idea's
I replaced the A/C relay just for cheap kick's.
thanx

Might be getting low on refridge. Mainly, when driving the air blowing over the condensor if front is needed. The ac tends to get more sensitive to how much air is moving over the condensor when it starts getting low.

Mr. Flash’s 01 does the same thing. At an idle it doesn’t cool too well but during normal town driving it gets cold. My 95 does the same thing, it will freeze you out during normal driving but blows warmer at an idle. Have had the systems checked and all is well, just must be the nature of the beasts.

Low freon would do it, a fan clutch that is not working properly. Is it on max ac? max ac closes you recirc door and recirculates the air in the cab, regular ac setting draws in outside air. Airflow is critical, the heat needs to disipate off the condensor, from the compressor......compressing Nothing blocking your airflow across the condensor/radiator? Have seen plastic bags get sucked up between radiators/condensors and cause insufficient cooling complaints. Or you could just have a leak, low freon. Some of the caddy's I've worked on customer complains that right side blows hot and left side is cold. Ends up being low on freon, we have a particular hose that leaks on some models and if the car has no codes set in the hvac module and it's low on freon.....that's the cause of the complaint. It was weird the first time I saw that.

Low vacuum will cause similar symptom - check vacuum pump for 25" min at idle.
Control switch will leak vacuum after long useage - check vacuum on each actuator when demanded

wouldnt hurt to blow out the radiator/condensor/intercooler if you havn't in awhile. My Father's Tundra ( ) did that after a good 2 days of driving in dust a lot. Good luck
