A/C Not Blowing Cold

Last summer, my Dodge would freeze me out. Well, after I figured out that someone kept turning the temp control to "Hot"

Now, this summer, my Dodge isn't cooling the air off at all. I've tried both Max A/C and just A/C, and neither gets cold.

Probably just low on freon.

I'd suggest a quick trip to an A/C service shop. Probably a $100 problem.

Is my 2001 actually a "Freon" user, or is it that new "stuff" that I can find in the auto-parts stores?

Your system uses R-134, which is readily available.

Turn on your AC and open the hood of your truck and check to see if your AC pump is even engaged.

If the clutch isn't engaged then we might just share the same problem.

Watch the pulley on the compressor. It should be turning with the AC on.

the belt always turns around the compessor but doesn't always turn the it, the clutch needs to be engaged before it pumps anything. If you follow your serpintine belt down the compressor is on the very bottom just to the left your engine pully. You can see if it's turning by watching the bolts on the front of the compressor. Ignore the belt turning, but watch the center of the pully to see if it's turning or not.
