Brake warning light says "BRAKE" in red

First, back in July I had posted about the voltage from my APPS. Thank you for telling me about reset of the APPS, I did it and it worked.
Now my BRAKE warning is on all the time. It is not being triggered by the emergency brake, I have checked it out and it is working properly. Where do I look now? could it be my ABS? and if so check what and how? My truck is a 2001 ext cab, full bed, 5 spd stick, 5.9 Cummins
Thanks,
Will in MO

I would start by just checking your brake fluid...

X2 on brake fluid.
Did you futz with the switch that is activated by the brake pedal? They are a funky bit of over-engineering. If you pulled out the switch you can't just put it back, you have to reset it. Otherwise the comp thinks the brakes are on all the time and throws an error.

Also if the brake and abs lights on it could also be the front wheel bearings and outter ball joints when they fail the tip of the sensor hits on the axle housing and trips the computer.
