Recovering Door Panel Inset Fabric?
Recovering Door Panel Inset Fabric?
I'm looking at cleaning up and upgrading the interior of my 98 and want to re-do the 'skittles' fabric on my door panels.
One of the plastic studs is already broken off and I realize I'll need to grind off the melted welds that's part of the studs on the inside.
Plan on checking out what's available at the 'fabric store' - thinking a foamed back fabric.
What have others done regarding re-doing the plastic studs?
I've seen one thread where the guy just went straight thru the panels and the new fabric with truss head screws that were visible - didn't look terrible but would prefer to not see the fasteners.
I imagine if I could epoxy a truss head to the plastic panel before applying the fabric.
Other suggestions?
