My 98.5 Dodge w/ Cummins and auto trans instrument panel has ABS and BRAKE idiot lights lit. Lit about a week ago. I don't really feel any difference. Where do I start to find/ correct any problems? THANKS , Rick

 

Rear axle sensor

 

Mine is also displaying the same lights. I replaced the vss sensor on the top of rear diff. because it was bad and made no difference. Turned out to be the rear ABS controller that is mounted under the hood by the power distribution center. By the way, it 's a dealer only item.

 

I beleive there's a brake fluid level sensor.

Check the fluid, it's free

 

You guys may also want to check the brake light fuse. I was pulling a trailer and the wiring shorted out and popped the brake light fuse. Soon as it popped, the brake and abs light came on.
