Brake problems?

Question Brake problems?

I have a 1999 dodge cummins 24 valve, 4wd nd yesterday i was goin from home to work, all of a sudden my truck felt like it was loosing power nd my temp gauge started to climb, so i got to work nd my rotors were hot as hell. any suggestions?????

Sorry. No help from me, other than to lift each front tire and try to spin it. See what's hanging up, and repair it!

Contamination in brake system. Did someone add brake fluid recently? Maybe some petroleum based fluid in master cylinder. Jack the wheels off ground and see if they turn freely slight drag is normal. If they won't turn freely open bleeder screw on caliper. If they turn then you have pressure in system possible brake hose or master cylinder bad. If both wheels are difficult to turn then I would think master cylinder. Compress front calipers they should colaspe without excessive force. If not then replace or rebuild them.
