boost gauge install question

There's plenty of info on this forum and the TST website about how to install a Boost gauge. But... I ordered an Autometer Phantom 0-60 boost gauge that only came with the T hose install kit. I bought it off Ebay, it's new. I emailed the guy about it and he instructed me to "You only need to find a hose on the intake side, after the turbo, that you can cut and put the T fitting on". I was really wanting to put it in the 1/8" pressure port as instructed on the TST pdf. That's the only way to do it, I thought. Just wondering what you guys thought.

I got an elbow and fitting from Home Depot to hook mine up to the port in the TST instructions.

look at reply #15 and you can see how I alway hook up the boost gauge. The only place that has a line were you could use the T fitting is the WG line but I like this better.
