I've used it on every vehicle that I have owned for as long as I can remember.
My dually has over 170,000 miles on it.
The studs on the dually always get a small dollop of anti-sieze at the beginning of the treads before I spin the lug nut on and torque to 144 lb/ft.
Wifey's truck and the Aries to 90 lb/ft.
Have never had a problem with nuts loosening up on their own.

Because you're using the antiseize correctly... as stated in the articles in the links. It's like anything else in this world. Products can be defective, but most of the time, it's user error that is the cause for failure, and not the product itself.

I've Never had a wheel loosen up, or fall off, because I trust no one other than myself to torque them properly. That's why when I get new tires, I remove my wheels, take the bunch to the tire store, have them mount and balance new ones, drive them back home, and install. Too many knuckleheads out there who overtorque with their speed guns.

Costco is the only outfit that I've ever been to that actually uses a system of torquing to factory spec, and having a second individual re-torque the same vehicle before it's allowed to be driven out of the bay. I've never seen them use any type of lubricant, though.

I thought I was the only one doing that........
Except for the dually.
Only have one shop for replacements on 'The Beast', and they let me stay with the truck in the shop.
They torque to, and air up to MY specs ...... that's why they're the one.

Me three.......I never allow a tire shop touch my truck also...The same...I take the whole batch in...get them mounted and go home and install them...

I didn't get a chance to clean the lugs today..They have a coat of anti-seize all the way on the treads...But none on the face of the nuts..

me four, and if i must have the shop install due to time I will re torque and recheck the air tires cold. Plus, shops around here wont just mount 2 studded tires on the front of my civic but if i carry looose rims in they will
And I only apply anti seize once, it seems to last forever!
I use very little, and one must be careful not to hydro lock closed lugnuts with to much anti seize.

I contacted Visions wheels about the torque specs on their aluminum rims...Wow....They want me to torque the rims to 145 ft/lbs...,which seems alot for aluminum rims with acorn nuts..
Found with a quick search. Check the third chart down. Gives value for dry and lubed fasteners.
