ANOTHER brake question

Well, I am worn out. I have replaced my whole (mechanical) brake system, except for the hard lines. I have replaced the abs controller, but I haven't cleared the codes. My brakes work great now, but I have no abs (it is disabled when a code is stored), and frankly, I am not very impressed- abs is no good if it doesn't work.
This brings me to my question- has anyone removed the abs system, and converted to a conventional brake system? If so, how, and what did you use (components, donor vehicle, etc.)?

if its disabled from a code or fault, then it reverts to "normal" brakes, so really no need to remove any components.
Do you have 4wheel ABS or 2wheel abs?

4 wheel. I need to get the code cleared, and see if the lights stay off.

I don't think the 94 has 4WABS. I believe you just need to replace the speed sensor on top of the rear diff.... You can check the continuity from the lines at the diff to the ABS computer on the front left engine compartment and that might help....

4 wheel ABS was available as an option on all years starting in '94

Mine definitely has 4 wheel abs. And I have replaced the sensor on the rear diff.
Will the codes clear after a certain amount of time, or does it have to be cleared with a puter?

My '95 with 4W abs needs a scanner or you have to wait for 50 engine on/off cycles for the codes to clear and the lights to go off.
On my '95 with 2W abs just disconnecting the batteries for a while clears codes.

I have disconnected the battery overnight, but to no avail. I took the low budget, redneck approach. I put black electrical tape over the lights, since they drive me CRAZY, and I will pull it off in a couple of weeks or so, and see if they have gone away.
