AC Switch

Ok I have replaced the AC Switch and the Blower Motor Resistor. I still have the problem of the AC not turning off. Anyone have any ideas?

unplug the lead to the electromagnetic clutch and see if it shuts off , if it doesn't , your clutch ceased.

ac clutch is controlled by the low pressure sw. after disconnecting clutch wire and if clutch disingages, then plug in back in and do the same to the lp/sw. if clutch disengages then problem would be lp/sw. continue traceing circuit and unpluging till you locate the problem.good luck.

Tried to help you sort this out last time....you really need someone to go "hands on" and find out what is going on. Blower motor resistor has NOTHING to do with the a/c staying on.

Well I'm pretty sure it is just the blower motor staying on. I have a new one but haven't had time to try it out.

....this reads: a/c compressor staying engaged, vents blowing cold air.

Well I'm pretty sure it is just the blower motor staying on.
....Ok, this statement has little to do with the a/c, but rather the blower circuit.

Sorry for the late response but I am only home on weekends now. I finally had time to mess with the truck again and the A/C is staying on in that it is cycling on and off normally but in the off position. The blower motor also is staying on in the off position but does slow down some in the off position. As per a dealers suggestion I have replaced the switch, Blower motor Resistor, and blow motor. I still have the same problem. This weekend I pulled the A/C clutch relay and the Blower motor fuse to turn them off. Is there another part somewhere that could be causing this or are my wires screwed up some how? I hate the little problems like this they drive me crazy

Well I finally got the afternoon to mess with my truck and found out the problem was my BHAF'S Heat shield. The shield was rubbing on a a/c wire and finally made contact with the wire it's self. Taped it up and the unit is working perfectly, thank you to all of yall they tried to help me out on this and I was able to return all the parts I bought.
