Cruise Control switch continuity... is it my switch?

Well I installed my BD cooldown timer and it works, and while i had the steering column all torn apart to trace the wires, i decided to pull the horn cover off and check out my cruise control that doesn't work. I used the continuity chart in the stick and checked the continuity on the pins. With the switch off, I'm supposed to have continuity betwen pin 1 and pin 4 and didn't, with the switch on I was supposed to have continuity between 1 and 4 and didn't, and then pin 1 and pin 2 did like it said its supposed to then pin 2 and pin 4 didn't have continuity like it was supposed to. I had continuity on the rest but not those 3. So is it my on/off switch thats bad or what? or is the connector? I was always thinkin it was the switch but wasn't sure.

I had the same basic problem with my switches though I don't remember which one was bad. Anyway I traced it out to be the circuit board that to switches are mounted to, anyway I did bypass the circuit board and everything seems to work fine. Be careful when you take apart the switch to get to the circuit board as there is little spring-loaded due hickie with a very tiny spring.

I figured that was what it was, thanks. I'll probably just get two new switches if they're not too expensive from dodge... I was hopin it was somethin simple like that to fix my cruise, i'm relieved.

I just put in new switches from Dodge. $60 bux Canadian. Unfortunately it didn't fix the cruise (the switches were bad). Does the same continuity test apply at the bottom of the column? If so can someone identify the plug? This would eliminate the clock spring. Horn does work.
