AC Problem

AC Problem

I was wondering if my AC compressor is sopose to cycle on and off even when the **** isn't on AC its cylces even when i have the heat on, any one run it to this problem

the compressor cycles on max ac, ac, defrost, floor/defrost in my truck. i won't swear to it NOT cycling in the floor/dash setting, but i don't think it does!

My AC comp would cycle in any position.. I think it's retarded but that's the way it is.

The Ac is designed to cool but also to remove the moisture in the air. So the compressor runs in the ac positions and also in the defrost positions. Warm moist air hitting the inside of a cold windshield would cause it to fog and if cold enough to freeze.
