98 24v

I was wondering if this would be a good buy? 1998 24 valve auto all stock quad cab long box one dent in tail gate new ball joints 155,000 miles $11,999. no leaks that i could see!

The way the economy is at this time, I would think its about $3000 to high, since its a 24, if it does not have the life pumps up date, expect to spend
$1000 right off. Pete

I think kbb value is about $9.5k on it. Look it up to get an idea.
Also, before you buy ANY 24v, drive it around for a few miles and read codes. If you get P0216, ask for another $1k off the price because you will need to replace a $1k injection pump really soon.

you need to ask for a thousand off the price anyways because you WILL be replacing the pump codes or not

Well, I bought mine two years ago for 15k (SUCKER!) and don't regret it because the truck felt on the test drive as if it was made for me. And I did not pull the codes, and ended up replacing the VP 4 months later, so who am I to give you advice - just do it.

pass on it and find a 12v, i love mine, paid 13k three years ago with 118,000, no fuel problems fixed all the obvious and it runs like a champ

did you use a scanner to pull codes?? cause the key trick dont work on a 98
