96 12v fuel tank capacity

96 12v fuel tank capacity

my gauge isnt working correctly....what is the fuel tank capacity for a 1996 12v 2500?

No, absolutely certain it's 35 gallons for a long bed, 34 for a shorty.

My Moroni for both my trucks says 34 gallons. [There was no shortbed in 96.]

ill go with 34 to be safe thanks guys!!! btw where can i get a new fuel gauge obviously i need one... will a fuel gauge out of a gas work???

I seem to remember(never had to do it yet) that you can get a just the sender for 30$ ish from the dealer

thanks guys its got a brand new intank fuel assembly so i know thats not the problem

Its not guage. Most of the issues come from the sender in tank. Newly installed parts go bad some times or not put in properly

its definatley 35 gallons in a 96. i think they switched to the 34 gallon tank for the 3rd gens but not 100% on that.
