2nd gen crewcab conversion, anybody doing it?
I don't know who owns it and I never got to talk to the guy before he left, but I saw just what your talking about in Gillette, Wyo at a truckstop. It was yellow and caught my attention from across the parking lot when he started it up (oooh, that sweet sound of a cummins). Had to have been a 98 or earlier from what I could tell.
They are out there but few and far between.

Really beautiful conversion too, I had drool all over my chin for weeks, but not enough $$.
I wouldn't mess w/modding the door, IMO it gets to complex..keep it the same but it'll be easier to add to the steel in between the rear glass and back door. There is only about 2" of an area you could cut strait thru but that would do it.
There is an oddball 2nd gen running around here with a larger Club Cab section. Looks like the front of a longbed was shortened to accomodate about 3 more inches of cab.
I am not crazy. I saw it near a regular CC at the supermarket a few times and it is definitely odd
I also saw a four door quad cab dually pulling a huge horse trailer in Eastern WA with Texas plates about ten years ago. There is a coach company that does these conversions in Texas but I can't remember their name.

When I was looking for a truck a couple months ago there was a '94 crew cab 2500 for sale here. Body was rough but solid and it was supposed to run well. The guy never called me back after a couple weeks and then I found my dually (normal club cab).
One of the parents from our sons' school has a 2nd gen 12 valve crew cab BUT it is a 3 door...not a 4 door. The passenger side has the rear door and it is the size of a true crew cab and it's a long bed/...and it's LONG...probably a foot longer wheelbase than mine.
I want to eventually do one of 2 things to my '95...put an older square body crew cab and front clip on it from a late 70's/early 80's dodge or...pull off the body and bed completely and put my '67 J3000 body and RV on the dodge cummins platform...then get another 2nd gen or EARLY 3rd gen to drive daily.

I got lucky finding my crew conversion. I was calling on another dodge club cab and the dealer had already sold it. The salesman told me he had an older one that he prolly wouldnt sell cuz it was to custom and he just wanted to sell the motor. I asked him what it was and i was on my way. The salesman barley knew what he had. But its all mine now. VICTORY!! Haha
