285/75R16 on 16x10 Rim?
I was wondering if anyone has mounted up a set of 285/75R16's on 16x10 rims. The tires I've got now are wearing way too fast and I'm looking into a set of 285's. They are Goodyear MTR's and the recommended rim is not over 9 inches. If anyone's done this, how did it work out as far as tire wear, etc? I'm not looking to start a tire war (I mistakingly did this with a clutch question ), but any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, andy

I've got 285/75 MT/Rs, but they are on 8 inch wide rims. Have you considered getting the MT/Rs in a 305/70? They are almost the exact same height as a 285/75 (both are 33s), but would be a little better matched to the 10 inch rim.

Re:285/75R16 on 16x10 Rim?
Thanks for the info, I passed up the 285's. I wasn't comfortable having this size on a 10 inch wheel. I'm still in the market for a set of 305's though, if anyone has a good lead at a decent price, feel free to post or pm me. thanks again, andy
