2001 Steering question
2001 Steering question
Test drove the 2001 that I was looking at today. The steering left something to be desired, I felt. I think the front end was out of alignment, so that would explain the wondering that I was experiencing. The thing that bothered me the most was how I would have to move the steering wheel approx. 2 inches before the wheels would start turning. I checked the front end though, nothing was loose and all the bushings seemed to have no play in them. Is the dull steering just a Dodge thing, or is there a problem with it?

How would I find out if the trackbar needs to be replaced. I was thinking of doing the DSS and the Adjustable track bar from the same company. I'm assuming that'd fix the problem, yes?

that is very common on stock front end parts to have play in the steering wheel, a new style track bar and steering stabilizer from here http://www.protintnw.com/steeringsuspension.htm should fix it rite up.
