2001 front brake pad removal

2001 front brake pad removal

How do you remove the anti-rattle clips from the front calipers. There is a wire that holds them in place. I do not understand how to remove the wire holding clip. Here is link with a picture of what i am talking about(#4 in the diagram):

you need to slide the pads out and then the wire then the clip. when re-install don't use the wire. atleast i don't.

i pulled the caliper bolts out(2 - 45 torx) but having a hard time getting caliper off. Thought that you might have to remove the anti-rattle clips first.

the caliper needs to roll out of the holder. can't recall if the top rolls out or the bottom. grab the top and pull. if not then the bottom. sorry i can't be more help but it has been a few years since i did mine. remember that the caliper is 2 pcs. the bracket and the caliper.
