2001.5 Steering Stabilizer ??

OK, I cant get the correct part at Carquest for my steering stabilizer. Part number as shown in the book results in a stabilizer that is about 1.5" too long in its compressed state. All the other parts I got from the same book (drag link, tie rod, tie rod ends, etc) have been correct, its just the stabilizer thats wrong. Anybody else have this trouble and know the correct part number for the stabilizer ??

i bought and installed yesterday a Rancho RS5000 P/n RS5404. Initially the counter guy handed me what he insisted was the right one but it had the wrong ends on it-it had stud type ends.

I have a 96 so if you can determine if 01.5 and 96 have the same one then................this may help.

I just put one on my truck this afternoon. It was a Rancho rs5000 and the part number is RS5412. My truck is a 2002.

Yep, I think that RancoRS5412 will work, as well. I ordered one today. we'll see.

Limegreen there is a difference between the '96 and the 02' for sure.

Yes, most definately a difference.

2001.5 should be the same as 2002 though.
