Anyone have an '01 or '02 6sp HO truck in the pasture? I'm in need of an ECM
My truck has gone into limp mode and my mechanic has checked everything it thinks is wrong. (IAT sensor, MAP sensor and Bus.)
He's 99% certain it's the ECM. Unfortunately, that ECM is unique to those years and the HO 6 speed manual.

I am pretty sure I have one along with the complete engine wire harness on my shop shelf.
PM me if you like and I will go check on it, when I go out to stoke up the fire with the dogs in a few minutes.

 

Unfortunately, Oliver's is from a 2000 and won't work for me.

Why not send it out to be repaired? I can't imagine it's not repairable, if it wasn't in a fire, or accident.

That was one of the first things we looked into.
Apparently the circuit boards fold around each other. The one outfit my mechanic is aware of that does that kind of work said "Not a chance".

 

Hey brotha I was wondering how yours started acting in limp mode ? No power all the time or randomly? I have an issue where she wont have any pedal until I get up over 1800 rpm or after the truck warms up . Appreciate it bud

 

It started off with an occasional miss under hard throttle which gradually got worse and more consistent. It didn't go into full-on limp mode until my mechanic was trying to figure out why it was throwing those codes.
In limp mode it's just gutless all the time. It seems like I'm only getting about 50% throttle maximum.
