you can see what i have done to the truck so far in my sig....i also add 1/2 oz. to a gallon of 2 cycle oil every fill up. i plan on doing rv 275's and the max mileage or xzt+ and a tonneau cover of some kind. should get some pretty amazing numbers then. although i was amazed at the 23.8

i check it everytime i go by one of the radar setups on the side of the interstate, theyare usually within 1 mph of what i am saying on my truck. i have stock size tires so there should be no issues. i got more than 19 on my powerstroke with 38" tires. i will be fueling up tomorrow and will recalculate again to see what i am getting this time.

My all time best was just a couple weeks ago when I took a trip to Vegas. Filled up in Barstow then filled up again in Las Vegas. Both times I filled up to where I could see the fuel in the tube. Got 24.9 mpg. Straight diesel, no additives (a tiny bit of 2-cycle oil may have been left in there though). I was sooo happy. Usually get 13-14 in the city though. Average highway is about 19-20.
Finally!!! I'm one of "those guys" on this forum that gets good mileage!

How...?
I never got those readings. And now I certainly not going to get those readings.
My best readings were something like 20mpg. When my truck was at stock height with 285/75 tires.
Now with DTT tranny,TST PM3, Hypertech programmer, 5" lift(soon to be 3" body too) and six 37x12.5" tires + 250 pound Buckstop Outback bumper I got readings, depending what I'm doing and what kind of levels with tst pm3.
I got 19mpg once on straight road but usually I got 14-15mpg and my last fill up was 13.5mpg.
My worse was 12mpg when I was in city driving it like I have been stole it...
Small reminding here, at least diesel is cheaper here than gas, but it's still 5.58$ per gallon and it's cheap now!

The overall effect of 285's may be a loss of MPG, but the Odometer
will be on the low side, therefore some of the loss of MPG (if any )is Odometer error.
actual distance traveled will be about 3.5 percent above odometer reading.
therefore actual MPG will be 3.5 percent better than calculated.
Also Odometer and MPH do not always correlate.
The best way to check Odometer is on interstate using mile markers.
over a considerable distance and doing it several times to get the variables out. I use 50 miles as a check distance...
Last trip to Indiana, just shy of 23 mpg ( with 285's, empty of coarse )

I am getting more convinced all the time that either/or 16oz 2 Stroke and 4oz Diesel Klean are helping my mileage. After my approx. monthly tow of about 275 miles at 13,400LB and back at 10,000LB I had more miles remaining on the overhead than ever before.
I keep checking, and when I fill up tomorrow we'll see.

mine are based off a calculater. also after checking my odometer against mile markers today....for every mile i traveled, i was only registering .9 miles. sooooo...if this is the case i would assume for every 100 miles i am actually traveling 10 miles farther than my odometer says. so with my corrected math i should have actually gotten 25.98 MPG!!! i will fill up tomorrow and see what kind of mileage i got today.

In June I took a road trip from Arkansas to Connecticut (one way). I only had to fuel up 3 times the entire trip. Total mileage was a little over 1700 miles. I don't remember how many gallons I burned but I do remember that I got 23.4 MPG (hand calculated). I kept it steady on the trip, average speed between 68-72 MPH.
