Yes I would think that would work great as long as your lift pump is original and has no more than 15 lbs pressure..

yes it will work but that is very expensive by the time you add postage and buy the banjo bolt snubber and copper oil pressure gauge kit you are going to have a lot of money in it , i would order the taped banjo bolt and $17 gauge from geno's garage from local parts store get a 18"grease gun hose and a oil pressure gauge installation kit change the bolt out on the pump grease gun hose next copper tube next and gage all of the fittings are in the kit the gauge has a built in snubber if the copper line makes noise contact me and i will show you how to build a snubber for about $2 you can put it on the hose kit connection

He has a 99. He can simply take out one of the plugs on top of the filter housing and screw the sensor in. Run the wires thru the dash and mount it. It'll take about 15 minutes. 16 if you slug a cold one in the process.

I wouldn't use a 15 PSI gauge. Get a 30 PSI gauge, and do it right. I work in insturmentation, and we try to range things where your between 10% to 90% when in nominal operation.

That guage is VERY tiny. I bought one too. It's only about an inch and a half in diameter. I wound up getting a Westach.

I've got a 30 psi liquid filled guage from summit and it was around $16. Works great.

Later,
I am using a summit digital gauge and its sender for about $45. has worked good for some months with a snubber and a 0-30 mechanical cheapy guage with a tee at pressure port. Ed

I've had the same dilema, dont want to spend alot of $$$, but want a good guage... I spent most of last night searching the web for fuelpressure guages.... and what I learned is.... There are a ton of cheap guages, but seemingly always a catch. THE BIGGEST that I saw was most pods for guage mounting are 2", and a LOT of guages that are 1 1/2".
I then pulled out a geno's catalog, and found out that when I order a westach Fuel pressure guage, I get thrown in for free,
the wiring harness
a mounting plate for the guage inside
a mounting bracket for the sending unit
and a free window decal that says "cummins turbo diesel"

I'll be paying for the guage $74.95 and a Fuel Pressure line for $19.00

and shipping...which you'd pay anywhere you ordered something.
How can you go wrong with that?

Heck with all of that. Our fuel is an oil, get an electric oil pressure gauge. Got mine on ebay for $20 including shipping came with the sender and gauge and all the wiring needed. Works perfectly and you can screw it right into the port on the fuel filter lid.

Just what I did and it works great for me.
