which wire to pull ignition-on power for pyro from - '01

Hey all,

I've begun the gauge installation quest...

My pyro gauge came with a little amplifier box that i mounted next to the clutch reservoir on the firewall. two leads go to the thermocouple, a bundle goes to the gauge and two leads go to ignition-on power and ground. Where has everyone pulled their ignition-on power from?

Right now the pigtail is in the engine compartment, but i still have space to run it through the firewall if need be.

Looking under that dash is quite intimidating - I've never seen so many wires so tightly bundled! It was hard enough just chasing down bare wire from the ashtray light to splice my gauge lights into!

In related news: I'll be running a custom jic to np hydraulic line to a needle valve which will be attached to the compression couplings provided with the gauges. I was going to run diesel straight to the gauge - is that clear hose that came with the geno's kit suitable? The boost meter came with black oil pressure line, is that better? I'm not scared to run diesel into the cab because of the needle valve in-line, just fyi.

Thanks,
Charlie

I use an add-a- circuit in the fuse box and connect the gauges to that its a little fuse holder that you pull out the ign.fuse and adds 2 to it use the orig. fuse and then a 5 amp for the gauges

That looks pretty slick and easy enough for somebody like myself to figure out! Better than getting into the backside of those mini fuses, which I'd assume you need to drop the dash for...

Thanks! Gonna tackle the rest of the install today. Wish me luck
