2" leveling Kits require no longer shocks or realignment. Anything taller will.

Leveling kit was a nice, cheap addition. Yes, the factory shocks are still on there, but I would recommend that anyone doing it go ahead and put new ones on. (while your in there kind of thing). I was a good candidate for a new set up there when I did it, I had about 68,000 miles on, just too broke at the time to get them. No problems to speak of, I think they do recommend that you get an alignment after the install. I waited a few thousand miles, till I got new tires. Never noticed any issues with alignment. It does change the geometery of the front end, so an alignment is a good idea. You have to imagine that all you are really doing is sticking a steel spacer above the coil on each side, simple as that.
I had a tougher time with the passenger side, borrowed a coil spring compressor and it fell in there.

I feel this is Mgf. being cautious and covering their tails!
I have spoken with many (over 10) who did not do alignments and know of none that had problems!

Oh, no doubt. I really only had the alignment done because I never have and just got new shoes. Just covering the bases so I didn't eat up my new rubber.

And not trying to give him bad info, hate for him to be the one who screeches off the highway and dies because of me.
