will APPS reset with any existing codes in ECM?

I tried to reset apps with procedure outlined in here, but didn't notice any changes. Found out later that I still had codes from earlier problems. (thanks Dealer)
Do existing codes keep the APPS reset from occurring????

As far as I know the APPS should reset even with codes. But if you still have codes from an earlier repair, go back to the dealer and have them cleared. When I reset my APPS the only thing that I noticed was that my erratic shifting had gone away, other than that no changes.

It is very rare that resetting the apps will change anything long term, and no having other codes has no bearing.
