Where to put EGT probe on manifold tap?

Where is the best pace to tap the exhaust manifold pre turbo? Anywhere on the manifold OK?
Just asking before I drill a hole in the wrong spot!!!

THanks for the advice in advance!

I like to tap here, it is the best location because it will give temps of the rear 3 cylinders & no. 6 is the hottest one. https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...4&d=1201558159

Ok that sounds good to me. Putting it on top is good then I guess. I usually tap from the bottom on my last truck but your pic looks like a good spot. I just want good readings of the EGTs. Thks!

Make sure you don't try to drill right in the center of the manifold, as there is a divider between the front and rear halves. Stay towards the rear, as the photo indicates.

Yes, this is VERY important. I bought a truck 2 years ago and the thermocouple was "crooked" due to installation in center of manifold.
