Where To Purchase Fuel Filter Lid?
Hey everyone,
Long story short, about 2 weekends ago I was putting in my Fuel Snubber and well the threaded port on the lid cracked
I sealed it up, made a fastener to go around the port to clamp it close (so the crack is more closed) and put the stock plug back in the port.
Figured I would go to the dealership today and price it out. Shouldn't be too much should it, it's only cast aluminium.....$1600 CDN
Said **** that and so now I'm running a couple options through my head.
Should I get it welded and re-tapped? Should I try a junk yard (which probably wont get me anywhere, but maybe)? Or is there some place online that you guys no of that I could order a new/used one for? I still have it sealed up right now but obviously can't use my fuel pressure gauge (unless I tap it into the other port for now)
Thanks!!

Hmm I was actually throwing back and forth the idea of trying through NAPA, being as I work for them (through Traction and Truck Pro). Maybe I will see what they carry, cause I do not want to spend $1600,lol
Thanks

Well I didn't think this would happen, but I found a wrecker that has the part that I need (im hoping its the same part). They are asking for $150 for it plus shipping. I have never found a Dodge Ram Cummins in a junk yard before so this is the first!!
Thanks for at least reading my post and thanks 9 sec camaro

Thanks for the link..I've been looking around trying to find places that carry that, lol and had no luck.
Would it be easy/good to buy that kit, and then a walbro pump of some sort. Or is there a kit that has everything I need...bypass and pump? Does that Filter bolt in the stock spot?
Sorry for all the questions, I'm just a noob when it comes to fuel system delivery.
Thanks though so far!!

I agree with Rusty..$1600...give me a break.
Heres your chance to move the lift pump, install a big line kit and filter on the fremerail.
Look at Vulcan Performance for some solutions. You can get a filter head from Cummins or go with a Racor style filter:

I can track down the correct one if you are interested.
Also, u can put a tapped banjo bolt in and sample fuel pressure at the VP-44 inlet.
