Wheel bearing question

O.K.

Did a bunch of searching on the subject and still have some questions.

Apparently, my 99 has serviceable bearings (changed in '00 to a hub?). Timken set814 was the preferred choice, but is no longer available.

Since I'm changing out both of my rotors also, they come with inner and outer cups included (installed??).

So, I guess that means I just need the Timken 'cones':
TIMKEN Part # 15101
Cone; Front Whl,Outer,2WD; 4000 lb. Axle;8 Stud

TIMKEN Part # SET45
Set; Front Whl,Inner,2WD; 4000 lb. Axle;8 Stud

The rotors:

http://www.partsamerica.com/productd...pe=221&PTSet=A
* Type: Hub & Rotor
* Number of Bolts/Holes: 8
* Bolt Circle Dimension: 6.5"
* Discard Thickness: 1.215"
* New Surface Thickness: 1.285"
* Outside Diameter: 12.5"
* Overall Height: 5.19"
* Vented/Solid Design: Vented
* Composite Design?: No
* Outer Bearing Cup Included?: Yes
* Inner Bearing Cup Included?: Yes

* ABS Sensor Ring?: Yes

Unless I'm missing something, can the timken cones be put in the rotor cups without problems, or should I get new cups also.

Thanks.

bearings are still available. go to a napa, they'll have them. Also, whay are you replacing them? Ususally unless they've been run so dry they weld themselve to the spindle, you simply clean and repack them, then replace the seal. About $5 for each seal and $10 for a tub of grease.

Thanks, but not exactly what I'm asking.

The new rotors come with new cups, will they be compatible with (existing) bearings or new bearing sets, or should I get all new ones that are from the same company?

Current bearings have 1/4" of play in the wheel. That's why I'm replacing them. Plus, with rotors, calipers, 4 ball joints, etc going in, why not.

Anytime you replace bearings you are suppose to replace all parts of the bearings including the cups.
