What RPM Are You Fellas Pushing?

Hey, i was just curious at what RPM everyone is able to get to, have it cruising along at, etc. Stock or either slightly modified. Because in our 99 Dodge Ram 3500 24 Valve Dually, the fastest i can get it on level ground is about 140km/h, and it's revving below 3. Im just curious

117mph and I'm turning 28-2900rpm. That was about 100hp ago though.

I'm at 110 km/h at 2k rpm. I've been to around 3400 rpm, but that was on a 4th gear run. I don't think I'd like my truck if that were in 5th. 160 km/h is pretty easy to reach though.

The fastest I could get mine was 80mph on level ground, then I fixed the dead MAP sensor and unplugged the tank vent, and it feels like it has at least 50 more hp, now I can actually feel boost its almost like I chipped it, just by replacing the dead MAP.

well in actual rpms, ive had my truck all the way up to 4k a coupla times. With that tst comp things can get away from you pretty quick. Last time i tried it my top speed was 114, but that was with a comp and 130 jammers. (still had defueling.....)

i reckon she'll hit 120-125. LOL i aint got the tires to try it though...

You mentioned cruising RPM, so I'll chip in. Towing our heavy 5th wheel with 4.10 gearing, we cruise all day at 2350 RPM (70 MPH) to 2500 RPM (75 MPH) without any adverse effects except fuel mileage. No oil consumption, no other problems....the engine is still on its original VP44 and lift pump (16+ PSIG at idle).

I was wondering if the VP was starting to go, but last night i had it up to 150km/h, we are seeing what it will do before we get exhaust, and then go from there
