what is required?

To make a f/p tester for a 24v truck?

what size/thread is the fitting on the top of the fuel filter housing?

The reason i ask is i am looking at some used trucks, and i would like to know what i need to make up a tester that i can take with me , put it on , and start and drive the truck while watching the pressure. I was thinking of having like a 10' hose i could just snake up thru the drivers window while i drive it.

What are acceptable pressures on a 24v?

And for curiousity sake , whats it take to make a 24v blow some smoke? I know how to bomb a 12v ,but i know very little about the over valved trucks.

Just put it through the hood up by the windshield wipers and leave it connected all the time. It takes about 2ft of Hose coming out of the fuel filter run up to the hood by where it meets the cowling, I used a piece of strapping metal to attach it to the hood, and the guage sits just below the windsheild wiper where you can read it from the drivers seat. When you raise the hood the extra hose just flex's to the extra length.
