Need some "help". Last week installed brand new airtex supply pump and westach 30psi fuel gauge Installed idling 20 psi running down the road 16-18. Pump lost prime, had to reprime due to fuel leak, gauge starting acting up and it now reads 16 psi idlling and draws down to 4-6psi running down the road. Do you think that the new supply pump has gone bad? Engine still fires right up after sitting all night, just pulls pump way down when running. Thanks, Newby from Schertz, Tx.

 

Gauge line could have air in it too. Check that out, and check pressure with another gauge if possible.
