I keep reading stuff about the wastegate on the bottom of the turbo. Is this thing one stock turbo's or aftermarket ones? What does it do? Im reading people blocking the wastegate which iv figured out builds more boost? Mostly wondering what it is, what it does, and if you can change anything to get a little more boost?

Yes your truck has a wastegate, if you look under the intake hose from filter too the turbo ther is a little 5/16 or so hose that leads back to the WG actuator. When boost builds to 21psi it will open bypassing exhaust around turbine housing this keeping boost at a constant value.On a stock truck don't mess with the wastegate you will only overboost engine, ecm will see that and defuel losing power.
