waste gate adjustment
What is the proper method for adjusting a waste gate actuator? My truck throws 18psi max boost and I am thinking that the waste gate is opening too soon. I want to go to the 20psi limit only. Ideas?

But I will let you know a bit of a secret. If your pulling a trailer up hill you find the boost sitting right at 20 PSI. Without the trailer for some reason the wastegate opens at 18 PSI...
This is what I found on my rig...
Ok then, is the wastegate really opening at 18 psi? Or is it starting to defuel at 18 psi?.......SO engines are gated from 20 - 22 psi and begin to defuel slightly before that.....the extra load your boat is putting on the engine is likely what is causing the higher boost and the gate is probably opening at 20 psi.....Sounds like it is time for a boost fooler and elbow!
