vp44 is dead got a question
I was wondering if anyone had any experience with blue chip diesel performance x vp44. it claims to get 2-3mpgs more and 22 horse at the wheels. I am trying to figure out if its worth the $350 more than his standard pump. thanks for any help.

I do not know, but that is the first of that sort of claim that I have heard. I would be skeptical. I would do search on dead VP 44(half the threads here?), lots of good reading on where to get a good replacement. For better fuel mileage, maybe try the Edge MM or similar, good for 1-2 mpg.

I put a Blue Chip Special X in my truck last June. Its hard to say just how much of a gain I got from the pump alone since I did 275 injectors and a Garrett turbo at the same time. The engine does idle smoother and power went up considerably. I don't run around with a calculator and don't believe the overhead console numbers but mileage is at least as good as it was before the changes.
