VP-44 keyway number????

I have 2 VP-44 injection pumps. I know that one of them has a bad electronic module and the other one has internal damage. I want to take the module off the damaged pump and swap it with the other one. One of them uses a .035 Key and the other uses a .036 key.

Does anyone know if the number on the front key is matched to the pump or the electronics?

If I'm correct you can't switch the keyways.

The key is matched to the internal workings of the pump. So you can swap the electronics but leave the keys with the pumps.

Thank you for the info. That's what I thought, but I wanted to make certain before installing it and maybe having to take it off again.

Those keys should be really close to each other in offset so I bet either one would work in either pump and you probably wouldnt notice.

We did it and there was not a problem. I'd say if the #'s are pretty close you probably won't have a problem.
