You will need to look at the front engine plate- there is a gizmo with a hose that goes to the infamous puke bottle.
You will need to remove the hose and unscrew the gizmo (engine vent) and you will see the injection pump gear- this gear has a line marked on it and when it's up the engine is in cyl 1 TDC position, when it's down it's in cyl 6 tdc position. With these 2 positions you can adjust all valves.

alpine is correct but dont forget to rotate that mark a full 360 degrees. easiest thing to do is when in tdc mark the bottom of the harmonic balancer with a sharpe, adjust corresponding valves, then rotate 360 degrees till that mark is in same position again.
