Two Questions

I just purchased the truck listed below in Dec. with 128k on it. Now at 130k I have noticed that on a warm start up it smokes black for a couple of seconds and then clears up. Is this normal? Also I was wondering if there was a way to tell if the VP is still the factory orginal. I noticed mine still has the yellow void sticker on the connector and it has been cut at some time or other.
Thanks.

All of our diesels let out a puff of smoke upon start up. Doesn't matter if their cold or warm. It's possible that it's been replaced. Consider yourself lucky if it has been.

Thanks chainzaw. I hope it's been replaced. I found out the LP was dead soon
after I bought the truck and put the airdog on right away. I had only 3-4 psi at idle. Hope it wasnt running to long that way.

There should be a reman sticker on the pump. There are no NEW pumps to be had.
