I can hardly figure a rough spot turning(????). Does it have end play or hit the housing with side force? Is there score marks on housing? Is it oily, smoke or use oil in excess?
It spins on a double sided bushings.

Correct - it has full-floating bearings - but the hard spot could be scored shaft, soot build-up in the turbine housing, ect - crank it up, bring engine up to operating temps, shut it down, then check for shaft spin
When warm mine spins pretty freely. When cold I was installing the heat shield for my BHAF I wiped out the outlet before reinstalling the air tube and it felt pretty sluggish and had a little spot where it felt like it hung up, but not rough or sticky.
I need help with my turbo i have a s300 66/14 pdr turbo and when i throtlle up i hear something like skreching from the turbo but it spins 100% freely, so today i removed the filtler and saw something got into the intake of the turbo the wheel has a little damage, i used to have 45 psi of boost now i only get 30 and it makes a wired sound..would it help putting in a new wheel? here are some pics..
