truck would not start! help

truck would not start! help

hey goo roos,i was going to come home from elk hunting(2 days ago) truck been sitting for a week went to start it and no run :'(, it turned over like gang busters but would not even fire,it had been about 23 degrees that night.So i did not know what to do, thought what the hek started warming block with genarator and unhooked EZ started cranking again after about 8-10 seconds of cranking it barely started ran fine then hooked EZ back up and came home (ran great :-* 5 hr trip).what is the prob? loose prime? (awe ye i had 15psi fuel pressure while i was cranking ) vp going south? computor?or what? fuel pressure gauge is on down stream side of filter PLEASE HELP! I HATE NOT KNOWING IF THAT 24VER IS GOING TO START NOW

My guess is that you had some water in the fuel system. Once it started the heat from the motor melted it so the truck ran fine. Next time add some fuel treatment

Now for the important stuff did you get your elk?

Just to add to bigfoot. Check the fuel filter container. Drain the thing, there could be water in it. Especially if you got some bad fuel, or if it's been awhile since your last filter change. How is it doing now since that morning?

bigfoot i was guiding my 13yr old boy i did not get a licence, he had 2 broadsided shots on 2 different days he got buck fever bad and choked he got skunked. i will check the water in filter good idea
and keep all posted thanks for help it has been running great since then the grid heater was working,the top of aluminum housing was warm while i was scratching my head thinking
