Truck died
Truck died
I was driving along on my way home. 300 miles into a 400 mile trip. And the truck simply died. Its ran great for over a year. No warning. No codes. No lights on the dash. No smoke. No spitting or sputtering. Nothing. I put a new Vp in it two years ago along with a lift pump. I have a low pressure warning light which never went off. I replaced the fuel filter immediately after it happened and it didn't help. The truck isnt out of fuel and I only have an EZ which i unplugged and it didnt change anything. It turns over fine, just wont start. HELP!??!?!?!?
so no codes. like said. see if you are getting fuel when you bump the key. not going to hurt anything you can take the top of the fuel filter canister off and see if its weak flow or no flow. if you have flow then check 1,2 or 3 injector line for fuel. get back with us
ya sry I should have put that in the initial post. That was the first thing I checked. When you bump the starter you can hear the pump running. And to make sure I cycled the lift pump when I had the fuel filter out and the top of the housing off so I could see it pouring in there to be absolutely certain. It was fine. And the filter that I took out wasn't really that bad. It has a new filter in it now so thats ruled out I guess.
I dropped it off at my buddy shop back home before I left town again for school. So il let yall know what he has to say. See I would expect it to be a crank sensor or something. But there wernt any codes.
