Transmission slipping

I have a '01 3500 dually and when I turn left, the tranny slips. It does not do it going straight or turning right. I have changed the fluid, filter and adjusted the bands and it did not help. Any ideas?

sounds more like differential problem than a transmission problem.

how would the tranny know if you're turning left or right?

just a thought

Well, I originally put in 4 qts. of fluid after the change. I just added 1 more qt. for a total of 5 and slippage is gone. I would have never though 1 qt. would have mattered so much.

If you just did the pan, try around 6 qts. Check your fluid level.

mine has a stock pan and takes almost 7 liters when changing tranny oil, as mentioned above, if you have a stock tranny, fluid level MUST be checked in neutral, it cannot be checked in park!!!
