47RE Transmission Slipping at 45 MPH

My transmission on my 2001 Quad Cab 4X4 diesel slips in and out of overdrive around 45 MPH. It also slips in and out of drive at 35 MPH. In other words, 4th gear is slipping in and out. When I depress the accelerator, it will begin to go away and work as normal, until I get back to the same load range again.
I realize the torque converter locks in for overdrive. I have been told this is a TPS problem, or is it the torque converter proble. PLEASE HELP !!!!

If I am reading correct, you are using overdrive at 45? If so, no no. Too much heat is generated.

As to the 35, are you sure you are not feeling the TC lock and unlock?

Try driving it with OD turned off and see if you still feel slips.

Mine does the some thing just turn off OD until you get above 50mph. It might also be your speed sensor in your tranny check for codes. Also if you look down a couple of post you see one called 47RE Pains,, That might give you some more info.

you may have a common problem that the dodge has.
A little more diagnosis is needed.
Are you sure it is OD? It usually is the converter clutch going in and out. And is caused by electrical noise in the TPS/APPS.
