Transmission fluid pressure question

Does it take a few seconds in gear after a cold start (even on hot days) before your truck wants to move? I need to use a lot more pedal to get it moving initially. Seems to happen all year long in the cold or the hot. Fluid is only 4K old and clean as a whistle. Just wondering if anyone else experiences this or if the tranny takes a few seconds in gear to build up pressure.
Thanks
AJG

i removed my drain back check ball when i rebuilt the tranny, ususally when it fails it sticks and can cause no fluid, i would suggest you remove or replace yours to insure full flow.

My tranny guy said this is a major cause of tranny problems in most all Chrysler tranny's

if the truck sits uphill for 2 days without being run my converter will empty, i simply start the truck, put it in neutral for a few seconds and it fills back up

How hard is it to change? Is it something that requires dropping the pan?
Thanks,
AJG

I changed the manual valve in my valve body, now it will charge the converter in park and it will save the front pump bushing. The front pump bushing does not get lube when the truck is running in park.
