Hey guys

I have a leaking transfer case, enough that the underside of the old girl will never rust.

The best I can tell it's leaking from between the cases. I know I have to pull the rear extension and such but can I just split the rear of the case off without removing the whole transfer case from the rear of the trans? The chain and sprockets should stay in the front case half shouldn't they?

It just seems it would a whole lot easier than chasing an entire transfer case around the bench.
